My first contact with the ECOsmarte products and technologies has been on the Cairns Tradeshow when I walked into the ECOsmarte-booth. What initially attracted me was the combination of technologies, the copper ionization, and platinum oxidation. In my youth, in Germany, the old people used to wear copper bands around their arms for protection against illnesses and I had heard about research being done in Germany about the beneficial effects of the same principles.
So I acquired a Turbo pool system for my swimming pool. Until now I used to have a saltwater pool but really did not like the effect of the chlorine in the water.
I’ve put in the system myself, a breeze to install and switched it on. One of the problems I had with my old setup was some green algae on the waterfall above the pool. To test the effectiveness of this system I plugged the overflow of my pool, filled the pool to the maximum water level, and waited for the algae to become visible. I then turned the system to ionization for 4 hours and watched the algae disappear at almost the same time. The next day there was no trace of any algae whatsoever which to me proved beyond any doubt that the system actually works. Since then I have crystal clear water in my pool, very nice to swim in.

We have had the ECOsmarte pool system for more than 25 years now. We had a chlorine pool, and we have never looked back. Spending time at the pool store only to find out... their solution - “add more Chlorine” is not my idea of a fun afternoon. The ECOsmarte system has worked excellently, and the customer support through all these years is still top-notch. I have a sand filter with the recommended glass pack. I run the pump at least 10 hours a day. I maintain my pH at 6.8 and copper level to .5 -.7 ppm through the basic 3-month swimming season in MN. The cost to keep my pool clear is really just muriatic acid—4-6 gallons, used to keep pH low. I replace the copper electrodes about every three or four years. Once you get used to the system, it’s pretty easy to manage. I have experimented over the years, and usually, that did not work in my favor. I recommend you just maintain your pool as recommended by ECOsmarte. I do for sure now. I closed my pool mid-Sept 2020, then opened June 9th, 2021. We were swimming by June 12th! That’s definitely a record for me... good when family motivates you. I wholeheartedly recommend the ECOsmarte pool system. It works well, is healthy, and is inexpensive to maintain. My pool liner is about 20 years old. I also have the whole house system. I will write another review about this system under the appropriate heading. Enjoy your pool season. Thank you, ECOsmarte.

I would like to tell you how pleased we are with the performance of our ECOsmarte well water point of entry system. Prior to installing the system we were using an iron removal system on our irrigation and a reverse osmosis system for our drinking water. We were also experiencing flow problems with our faucets and shower heads due to mineral buildup. John from ECOsmarte told us about the benefits of the system and we had our water tested. This is not a simple water test, it is sent to the National Testing Laboratories and tested for 150 items. The most significant result was that our water contained arsenic in addition to high Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Chloride, and Sulfate. The water was also very hard. We elected to install a larger system to handle our whole house plus a large irrigation system. When we first installed the system we elected to keep the reverse osmosis in place for our drinking water, but after 8 months we removed as it was not necessary. the system provides bottled quality drinking water at a of our faucets throughout the house. All of this is done without the need to do any maintenance on the system or haul bags of salt water softener.
At the same time we installed an ECOsmarte pool system for our in ground pool to eliminate the need for chemicals. After one season I can say we enjoyed a full season of clear pool without the need for chlorine or salt. If you wish to enjoy the benefits of chemical and salt free odorless water I highly recommend ECOsmarte water systems for your house and pool.

We moved into our new house in Brentwood(Los Angeles) in 2008. We were moving from Connecticut where we had deep well water (700 feet deep) that tasted pure as anything. We were very concerned about using a municipal water system, especially in LA given many horror stories about quality and taste of LA water. We did our research and found out about ECOsmarte systems. The idea that we could have a whole house water treatment system , with the capabilities of a municipal treatment system was almost too good to believe. We gave it a shot, not only for the house but also for our pool, especially as we did not want to use salt or chlorine n our pool or our house.
Ten years later, we are as ecstatic as we were when the system was first installed. Both systems have operated virtually maintenance free, wiht only one repair needed in 10 years of operation for both systems. You have to experience to "feel" the difference and there is never any smell of chlorine. Swimming in the pool is a treat, as there is no smell, no stinging in the eyes, and a smoothness that is difficult to explain - it just feels clean. If I were to move to a new house, anywhere, whether Los Angeles or any other part of the country, I would install an ECOsmarte system before I moved in.
